Submission Guidelines
For paper formatting instructions, please follow the guidelines included in the Springer's LNICST Author's Kit. A number of submissions relevant to the eHealth 2009 conference topics are welcomed from academia, industry, and healthcare organizations. The length of submitted articles varies according to the type of the paper:
Academic Papers
Standard Papers, not exceeding 8 pages, describe a mature piece of work, typically a finished project with available full results.Short Papers, not exceeding 4 pages, describe an ongoing piece of research, typically at a work-in-progress stage, that can already demonstrate a promising research direction and show originality.
The best submission in terms of innovative solution, originality, and impact on global healthcare will be awarded the Best Paper Award.
PhD students should indicate their status when submitting their papers to be considered for the PhD Students Session and/or to become eligible for the Best Student Paper Award. The format requirements remain the same - up to 8 pages for a Standard Paper, up to 4 pages for a Short Paper.
Industry and Healthcare Organizations Papers
eHealth 2009 strongly encourages the participation of industrial companies, SMEs, national and global healthcare organizations, and medical charities. While all organizations are invited to submit Standard or Short academic papers, we recognize the time constraints on business partners and have therefore included a dedicated section for leading technologies, specific commercial products, successful healthcare business models, and IT systems in use by national or global healthcare organizations.Papers up to 2 pages long should focus on the description and applications of technology, commercial potential, and/or real-world lessons with national or international deployment and usage.
Demonstration Papers
The Demonstration session is dedicated to enabling the active demonstration of successful projects or commercial products, and offers unique opportunities for networking, marketing, and hands-on experience.Papers describing novel IT healthcare systems, innovative solutions, commercially exploitable project results, industrial products and working research project demos from all types of organizations are invited. Submissions, not exceeding 2 pages, should provide a description of the demonstrator with particular attention given to the state of the project or product and what exactly will be demonstrated at the conference.
Posters
Poster submissions should not exceed 500 words.Publication of Accepted Papers
